Rukun Negara Hour special broadcast on Bernama TV, Radio this Wednesday

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 14 -- The Communications and Multimedia Ministry (KKMM) through the Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama), in collaboration with the National Unity Ministry will carry a 'Rukun Negara Hour' special broadcast on Bernama TV and Bernama Radio this Wednesday.

The two-hour programme which will kick off at 9 am is being held to enliven the Rukun Negara 50th Anniversary celebration and increase the level of appreciation of the country's philosophy among Malaysians, while celebrating Malaysia Day on Sept 16.

The live broadcast will feature an interesting interaction with invited guests who will include popular local film producer and actor Datuk Rosyam Nor and Yayasan Perpaduan Malaysia Board of Trustees member, Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye.

KKMM secretary-general Datuk Suriani Ahmad is also expected to appear on the programme via Skype to share the activities and campaigns implemented by the ministry during the Rukun Negara 50th Anniversary celebration.

Viewers will also be entertained to an interesting performance by popular local artistes Ernie Zakri and Naim Daniel.

The public will also have a chance to win exciting prizes. All they have to do is share the meaning of Rukun Negara through photographs, videos or patriotic stories on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram and add the hashtag  #RukunNegaraHour, during the special two-hour broadcast.
